Hi

I pair up 8 Edges using Free Center Slicing and end up with 4 unsolved Dedges and they are all on the same Layers as shown below.

Note that yellow is on Up, Green is Face and Ornage is Right. The four unsolved dedges are on the middle two slices.

There will be two major cases depending on the dedges.
1. When two similar dedges are next to each other as FR and FL pair and as BR and BL pair.

2. When they are diagonally opposite to each other as FR and BL pair and as BR and FL pair..

Well you could do a Uw/Uw2 and flip 2 edges instead of 1?

Yes. There are really only 4 cases for l4e on 4x4: 4-cycle, 2-2 swaps, 3-cycle, 2-swap. 3cycle and 2-swap are obvious. 2-2swap can be setup and solved the way hyprul mentioned, or with cancelled 3-cycles: l' U R U' (l+r) U' L' U r'. 4-cycle can be solved relatively quickly with two 3-cycles, or 3-cycle followed by 2-swap.

Quick question that has to do with this. Would it be easier/faster to pair up the remaining 4 dedges in a layer, or in a slice?
