[Unofficial] Feliks Zemdegs shows us all up: 8.80 avg of 12, 8.26 avg of 5

Lucky is a subjective thing. Congrats though Feliks, I just find it insane that you've reached a point where 1/3 of a second actually matters.
Plenty of people have reached this point, though :) I just won a competition by 0.11 second, which means that if one of my counting solves was 1/3 of a second slower I wouldn't have won. Weird to think about it that way.

I dunno if sb already did, but i reconstructed his 6.44 solve:
7. (6.44) F D U' R' B2 F2 D F' R L2 D2 L2 D2 U F R' D L' F2 L2 R2 B' U B U

cross:x R' U2 L2 ( i think he does it slightly different, but i couldn't see it)
1st:R' U2 R2 U R'
2nd:U' y' R U' R' U R U' R'
3rd:U2 y' R U' R'
4th:U L' U L
OLL:U' r U2 R' U' R U' r'
PLL:U2 R U R' F' R U R' U' R' F R2 U' R'
46 moves, 7.14 tps

Thanks for reconstruction! But OLL should be: U' r U2 R' U' R U r'.

Feliks, you're the best! WR on Melbourne Summer Open 2010? ;)

I suck...

Anyway, Erik's 7.08 single is damn fast, that won't be an easy record to break. However, with this sub-9 average of 12 he showed us he is AT LEAST a consistent sub 10 cuber. Avg5 WR = 10.07, yeah, he can do it!

EDIT: he's comfortabe at his house without people staring at him though... please don't chicken out faz !!!

:o Wow, nice tps there fazzles. Yeah, I did the cross like that.

In your opinion, how many people have achieved sub-9 a12?

afaik, only me.

I suck...

I'll do my best, that's all I can do. If I get nervous, I get nervous, that's my problem. I have a feeling I won't do that well in the first round, as I got quite nervous at the first solve today in canberra. Maybe that's because there was a bigger stake at hand. idk.

BTW, Feliks, incredible solves. You are clearly a force to be reckoned with. :-) I wish there were more comps down under for you.

Thanks mate.
