How does one break the core apart?

Do what I do, get your wife her own DIY. That way she won't complain about how loose yours is and can have her own tension. That's what I did.

I don't know how she does it. She said, she dropped it accidently. I don't belive that just droppping kills the core.
She said, she's sorry, and I can order a new one.
So i did, so now there's coming a new DIY, a new core with springs, screws and washers, and a Speedstacks timer
So maybe she can drop it more time, so I can order more time more stuff

If the corner of the cube drops on the ground first then the core can break(and if it doesn't then the screws can easily get crooked and makes your cube bumpy). It just depends on how high you drop it and on what surface.

I can even proof it with an picture of an core in half because I dropped it a few times on the streets.
