Why hello there, speedsolving.

My name is googlrr. I've been lurking here for quite some time, and decided I might post an introduction! So here's a little about me:

I've been solving the rubiks cube since summer (6 months-ish now?). My Personal Best is 24 seconds, 31 second average. I know all the PLL's, and the OLL's look too tedious for me to learn. I recently decided to try learning the Roux method, and I'm actually having quite a bit of fun with it. I own all of the standard cubic puzzles 2-7, but I solve most slowly. I enjoy the megaminx also. I'm hoping that I can get my 3x3x3 times sub-20 before the summer, but my lookahead is garbage :[

Non cubing related stuff,
I play a good deal of Videogames, recently a lot of Left 4 Dead 2, Warcraft III, Halo Wars, and Guitar Hero. The music I listen to is mainly metal, things like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Metallica, Megadeth, some Pantera. My all time favorite musician is Buckethead, I listen to him daily and never get bored of the beauty that is Soothsayer.

Another thing people think is interesting, I sometimes type using DVORAK layout. I'm not fast with it, but I know it.

Sorry I'm kind of long winded, I just like to make sure I get my point across.

Unfortunately I have never played any CS games. The only PC games I really play are Killing Floor, Team Fortress 2, and Warcraft III. I only use a laptop, so FPS gaming is a challenge.

Whats your Megaminx average?

My megaminx average is about 6 minutes I think, I didn't record the exact value. My best was 5:05 I believe. I solve it like a 3x3 with a lot of F2L pairs, not sure of a better way to do it.

Oh yes, I love buckethead very much. I think out of my top 10 played songs on my iPod, buckethead accounts for 7/10ths of it. I own all of his DVD's (but I have yet to actually watch Secret Recipe). I was pretty mad when I missed his show when he came by here, since he played at an 18+ club and I only recently turned 18. I can't wait until he comes by again, I need to witness the beauty that is Buckethead live.

I'm not so much a fan of SOAD, but I like Serj Tankian solo.

SOAD and Buckethead. Awesome.

SOAD is on break now though, I think it's a good thing, they are free to do what they want. Plus, Serj gets to work with Buckethead, they get to help each other on their solo albums.

That is nice. I believe I read somewhere that Serj said he's working with buckethead on another Buckethead and Friends album, which would be nice. Hopefully it will have another song as good as Nottingham Lace on it, because that song is certainly a masterpiece of music.

I don't know any particular artists/bands off the top of my head. Most of the music I hear comes from an anime i've seen. Then I find the full version of the song. :fp

Site looks nice! Should help with my Roux learning. I saw Waffles tutorial, which is actually what convinced me to try it in the first place.

I do enjoy myself some classical music. For a while I just left my cars radio on a classical station and enjoyed it everyday on my way to school.
