Master Magic failure (is it really worth it?)

Okay, I am brand new to posting and this is my first one, so fee free to call me a noob i really dont care and sorry if this is in the wrong place. Oh well lets get to the point. I am going to the Fall Carnegie Mellon compitition in Pittsburgh, in a like two weeks and I dont plan on winning but more on having fun. But the only chance of me placing is in the Master Magic. I keep on having problems with it being fully scrambled and it falling apart and taking half an hour (at least) to put on two sets of strings. I am just wondering wat other people think of the Master magic and if it is really worth even competiting in it. Thx for ur help and yes i am a noob to this site but not to speed cubing.

Anyway, if you like it, practice it. If not, don't and practice something else.

when i say place i mean like 1st,2nd, or 3rd since with me there are only three people goin so far at the MM.

Yes that was very noobish now that I think about it but you have to admit it is funny in a noobish kinda way. Srry if the quotes dont work i am still trying to understand all of the things with posting.

And on topic, master magic is just for fun. Mine broke as well when I just got it so when I tried solving it today I didn't even know how to do it anymore. It didn't stop me from entering though. I just wanted to get a time. So I say, go for it.
