It looks like you did the everything normal, except you first solved the big cubies and then the small centers? That's how I saw it

I still haven't worked out a nice way to solve any other NxN circle cubes.

I assume that the 2x2 would at least be kinda similar. GB said he was planning to add a lot more circle stuff, so we may get a shot of this soon (although I'm aware that you have your own simulator for this, but I have no clue what's going on when I use it.)
