I was considering buying a Megaminx, just want you guys to let me know where or who i should get it from to achieve the best quality item i can for the price i pay, i don't want something that will break when i turn it the first time :P. Tom.

You can get a cheap 6 dollar minx from ebay. They don't break, but they don't set world records either.

Mefferts.com has recently released a Christmas voucher so you can get their minxes. This is the last time they are going to be producing them, as far as I know. With a bit of work these minxes can set world records :)

Yeah, Erik A (I can't ever remember how to spell that name) Erik Johnson, and Erik Limeback are a few that I know, although I don't really ever talk to any of them. Is there a conspiracy that fast cubers don't talk to me? Lol.

I think it's spelled Akkersdijk. If I'm correct, I'm very proud, thats a tough name for me to spell, haha, only God knows how to pronounce it :P

boy, this got way off subject.

I need a megaminx :/

Whoa, PG, you're on these forums?

Anywho, yesterday when I got home from my dad's, I found a Christmas card waiting for me on the counter. I opened it, and it contained a 50 dollar prepaid visa card from my grandmom. Within the next 5 minutes I had ordered a Mefferts Megaminx and Pyraminx :)

Does anyone know of any puzzles online that would cost no more than 4 dollars to buy and ship? I hate having money left on those cards, but I feel stupid when I walk into a store and use a card to buy a 4 dollar item :P

If I were you, I would get the Mefferts one. I have 2 Chinese minxes, one is super great the other super sucks, but from all I have heard and seen the Meffets seems to be better over all. I cannot account for that 100%, but I would think others can attest to it. I have ordered on myself and cannot wait until it gets here.

As an aside, did anyone else get the word doc from mefferts confirming the order? I am a little sceptical as to the origin of it...

Yes I am, and I also got a card and was in the same situation, but when i tried to order it said expires Christmas day, and today's not Christmas day :/
I dont think I'd mind a cube4you Pyraminx, it's the megaminx I want. hah but I saw the comparison video, and I guess i'll settle for either :]

As far as I know, this email is legit. I too received one, and on the inside it had the correct information of what I had ordered. It told me that I had ordered a quantity of one megaminx.

The email isn't really necessary though, it's more of just a "Congrats on buying yourself something radical!!!!" You don't need it to get the puzzle, so you can just go ahead and delete it.

I printed mine for future reference, so if anyone has any more questions I should be able to help.
