CubeFans Lack of Cubes?

I only use IE. It came with my computer in 2005 which by by some kind of luck had Windows XP pre installed on it and by that had IE pre-installed too.

Most of the world uses IE and Windows XP. And almost all good online sites will work best on IE too.

WTF2L!!! :D:D
Omg tell me you are kidding me?
You know the results of some researches for that?
Most late-grownups use IE (45-...) because they don't know how to use computer so much and they keep nagging about how bad the computer is.. even though they don't like the browser.
Most of sub-40 age use FF because.. THEY KNOW HOW TO USE COMPUTER!
Go ask some random people in your school what browser they use and probably most of them will answer Internet Explorer. At least in the United States, more than half of internet users use IE. I was surprised when I saw that figure, but I can believe it. Most teens don't use the computer a lot, instead they text, watch TV, or go out to do stuff. You would be surprised how many use IE, trust me.

In a school I actually wouldn't be even remotely surprised if majority of students use FF/Safari. While I don't actually have a study to back it up, I would be willing to bet that the mean age of alternate browser users is much younger than the mean age of IE users.

From my experience, IE is much faster than Firefox.

But it really isn't... at anything. Put them both through a sunspider test and I will guarantee you that the latest IE will be slower than the latest FF (although chrome will beat them and every other major browser by quite a bit.) Keep in mind that when using this test, lower is better. This is pretty obvious but I've seen people not catch that before.

IE8 completely fails the acid3 test, while FF does pretty well, although neither do as well as Chrome, Opera, and Safari.

The point is that you shouldn't make websites designed to only work on one browser, especially when that browser happens to be junk. IE also happens to be set to drop below 50% market share in the not so distant future, so I would hardly say that most of the world using it is a relevant argument.

I would like to see a source (other than your big thumb) for that claim Novriil ;)

I know how to use a computer and I use IE because it is "good enough" and actually works for everything. I also use Chrome because it is "way better" but only on some sites where it works well.

Firefox is only good because of the plug-ins, Safari on Mac and Opera for developers. There, I can make ridiculous (but true) claims as well
typo ;)

I can't find it anymore.. maybe it's deleted. It was in like.. umm.. May or June, this year? anyway it was in a newspaper poll:
I use Internet explorer (some 40 or 45-...)
I use Mozilla firefox ( some 40 or 45-...)
and so on with younger age too and they had other browsers.. These got some percent too but not as much as IE and FF did. They were like.. Ummm. 15-20%

But I think nevermind.. in Estonia most people who use the computer often use FF although IE is used too pretty much.
