Conflicted! Which to buy?

I have a little dough and I am conflicted on what to buy. I would like to get either a v-7 or a gigaminx. I know that I have the ability to solve both (I have virtually lol). So ignore that fact.

I am just thinking that maybe the gigaminx is of a quality that is more poor, however they are cooler to look at, but on the other hand more expensive.

Now, here's the question. Should I get the gigaminx now and wait to see if C4Y improves on the quality before December? Idk, I'm so conflicted lol.

V-7, you can use it in Comps.

Haha, yeah but I have a lot yet to learn. I only know one comutator and one algorithm in addition to everything I know about a 3x3 lol. Yeah, that's true, I could have a speedcube on my hands with that, I guess that never crossed my mind.

You know I still need to think it over some more, but so far the pros for the v 7 are coming out on top...

Buy the V-Cube 7. I have worked out a way to do the last 2 centres of a 7x7 (or any nxnxn cube) by getting as clos as possible the normal way and getting down to the last 6 or so cubies and using commutators to finish the job.

You should be able to get down to three or four pieces easily before you start using the commutator.

But anyway, go with the V-7, since you can't really speedsolve with the Gigaminx right now. At least that's what I've heard.

Well I sorta-kinda solved the 5x5 on my own. Someone told me the gist of the reduction method ie, solve the centers, then the edges then solve like a 3x3. I created my own algorithm for solving the edges (it sucks) and I could solve the centers without a commutator. However Lancetheblueknight made a video I stumbled upon that taught an easy commutator. In any case, if I want a time below 45 minutes, I'm going to have to learn some new algorithms and such lol.

So I think I've made up my mind. The main reason is this. V cubes aren't going to see much improvement as they are already a-okay for speedsolving and your hands won't fall off. Gigaminx is still young and there may be improvements on it. Therefore, waiting is a good call. At the very least, the price will go down.

i would wait for both: verdes may bring out the v8 and v9 and they may drop the prices of the v7 becuase of it

OR

c4u may bring out a new revision of the gigaminx and it may be *speedsolveable*

.... you only need to use 1 commutator for the last 2 centers of a 7x7 or 6x6. The rest is just like 5x5.

V-7. End of story.

Walk through for centers?

Get the v-cube 7, because is amazing. And if you're worried about the commutator you just need 1, but if you're not Dan Cohen (like me) you'll maybe use the commutator like 3 or 4 times

I have solved it on gabbasoft a couple times. I loved the puzzle, but I hate solving things virtually. I do usually use the commutator three times.
