StackMat+Timer

I'm not sure if anyone here is selling but I guess you can get them at speedstacks.com you're in the USA anyway.

I am borrowing a friends and you definitely need one they are amazing. speedstacks.com is the place to go, $20 not including shipping. good luck

I would like a competition timer so I can hook it up to the computer. Can you get one without a mat cause i already have one.

Yeah, in fact I think the only one you can get that can connect to a Display or PC is one that you order off SpeedStacks online.

Check out their online store. You can buy it on it's own or with a mat.

try my software

i've written some software that connects your pc to your stackmat via the comm port (RS-232) which is the protocol that the stackmat uses.

i wrote it months ago and forgot about it so i stuck it on the internet to see if anyone would be interested in it.

I'd be greatful if people could try the software or let me know if they would like me to work on it any more.

you will need to make a cable, i'll post instructions on the sourceforge site someday...!

here it is : http://www.toomuchtimeonyourhands.co.uk/

yep. my software listens for the stackmat on the pc serial port and not the microphone socket.

i cant remember which pins connected to what so i'll have to get the multimeter on the cable i made to remind myself how i did it. when i do, i'll post a wiring diagram on the sourceforge site.

It'd be interesting to know o.O

might just make an adapter for my TI Black Serial Cable and hook it up to my calculator x.x
