Can solve cross, how to continue? (was: !!need help please)

ive just started solving my rubix cube(which ive had for a couple years now)
and i've gotten the white cross on the bottom, but i'm so confused as to what to do next.
the technicallity of the explanations really confounds me, so is there any website, or anything where the explanations are simple??
please post your own explanations as well because i'm sure it would help!
