But her reply made perfect sense...
You just assumed that she meant two stickers off, and she clarified that she meant two corners misoriented. I understand where you're coming from thinking she meant stickers, but at least put some thought in before you call something "mumbo jumbo."

Edit: I also have great respect for anyone who solves without any help, congrats to her, especially in the internet age where it must be so tempting to know a solution is five seconds away from you.

I don't quite get how it would take seven months, but again, solving it on your own at all is an impressive accomplishment.

If the criterion is solving alone (rather than inventing a solution), it is likely that over 95% of people past the age of 7 or 8 are capable of solving the cube.
