[Official] Michał Robaczyk's Square-1 Solve at Poznań Open 2009

His turning is so fluid. He turns the puzzle with minimal and stays completely calm until the drop. A fraction of a second more calm would've gotten him a world record. Still, an amazing solve.

Aww that's too bad Michal. So close.

Great :)

The judge must not touch cube to judge +2 penalties.
This rule is ignored in many competition ... I sad

I don't know what the Japanese translation of the regulations is like, but in the original English version doesn't say the judge can't touch the puzzle, it only says they can't turn the puzzle. Of course, even though they are allowed, I agree that the judge should not touch the puzzle anyway.

A6g) The judge must inspect the puzzle without making moves or aligning faces and must determine whether the puzzle has been completely solved.

Actually it does say this in the English version too. And Syuhei is right, it is very common that the judge picks it up to inspect. Fact is, after the judge touched the puzzle to check, your solve HAS to be accepted since the judge might have influenced it, regardless if it was a +2 or close to a DNF because of 2 moves (of course doesn't go for when you didn't solve your puzzle in the first place).

Edit: I hear Joey talking ^^

Ah what a shame. That was a rather impressive solve. Any chance of a reconstruction (Lucas)? It's very hard to tell whether there was a very small move count, or if he's just turning insanely fast. (Personally I think there was a low move count).
