i currently use thrawst's meathod as shown in his youtube video, and i average around 1:30.00 min to 1:40.00 min. i want to know if any body knows a faster meathod or maybe just some faster algorithms.

please and thank you (:

thank you too. this one looks a bit more complicated but i will still learn it.
You think Baum is more complicated than Vandenbergh?
It's maybe a bit more intuitive in the first steps, but when performed correctly, this method has a similar movecount to Vandenbergh's method. Recognition is also easier in my opinion.

And, half the algorithms :D

lol its just it takes me a while to learn square-1 algorithms. idk why but it takes me while to count to 3 lol (:

edit: your right, i was looking at vandenbergh's method and it is somewhat similar, and i swear i used an algorithm right and it f'ed up my square-1 so i had so re-solve it.

I recommend this site for every single algorithm used by the current World Record holder in Square-1. You might be surprised to see that he uses so few algorithms! And you should be; he is absolutely beastly insane.
To solve the Square-1 using the most primitive version of the Vandenbergh method, you only need the first algorithm from each step (CO is done intuitively).

Dan uses a lot more algs than that now. He learned CP parity and more EPs, I believe.

Yes, I've learned parity CP and almost 1 look EP, but the website includes all the algs from when I was 3rd in the world (18.xx average) :p

Are you serious? How many EPs have you learnt in my ignorance? Darn you! I have barely touched my sq1... :(

You learned hundreds of moves just to solve some plastic toy a little bit faster? Geek. Get a life.

Learning the 4 algs (+ mirrors) for Parity CP knocks out 1/2 of the EPs. I then learned only about 2 more algs. I have 4 cases left to learn. There are really only 19 "cases" (including U/D and L/R mirrors). Also, some of my EPs are still done with 2 adj/adj, since they are basically optimal.

Name one person who is sub-25 with Jason's method.

Name one person who is sub 13 (sub 12?) with ZZ. Doesn't make it not fast ;)
