Hey Everyone,

I had a question for all the speedcubers, what cube do you use for cubing? Not like casual cubing, I want to know for SPEED! Like if you were to go to a competition what cube would you use?

Me currently my best cube is my Type C, I prefer the way it feels over the Type A, (I think that's due to different plastic) However to me the Type A feels like sloshy(If I dare to make up words) anyway I would recommend a Type C.

What are your thoughts?

I use a straight up, black type C, lubed two faces at a time with CRC silicone, and with standard cubesmith textured tiles with the logo on the center square of the white face and facing toward green.

I use the type A from Puzzleproz, which I hate, and want to get another cube because this one is harder to turn than my storebought, but doesn't lock up as much, which is why I use it.

Type A. Grrrrr... You're cool for switching.

If I could I would, but I can't so I'm not. I do need a new cube though... and am trying to get the white DIY one from DX, I hear it is a type C. Plus that is all the money i have to spend on one.

Cube4you DIY! =D.However, I think I might change to a different one because the Cube4you DIY is starting to lock up on me after a long period of use. I'm just researching around for a suitable cube. I've never been to a competition =[ and probably won't for a while unless I can find one close to where I live. If I were to recommend one. Type A and cube4you DIY are good initially but they wear away pretty quickly. Type D's are good although I don't like mine. I still see why others use it.

For "practice" cubing I use some type D clone/variant I got on ebay. It's actually really good. For speedcubing I use either a cube4you brand DIY or the puzl.co.uk competition cube.

C4Y cubies with old d center and screws, a core, cuts corners, fast, rarely pops

I have a white one with texture stickers and white instead of black. is that the one you have?

I think i would use my Type F or my c4y diy but i do have to say after getting my type f the c4y seems heavy and very hard to turn in comparison.
