Removing Meffert's Tiles

I tried to find something on the forum but was unsuccessful, so I will start a new thread. What is the best way to remove Meffert's tiles? Specifically 4x4 tiles.

some of them are. I used an exacto-knife to remove all the tiles on my 4x4, and it took hours
Some of the tiles were really stubborn, and afterwards there's a lot of glue left on the cubies that you have to sand off.

Actually there was a discussion about removing the tiles some time ago..most people just use an exacto knife. Some tiles come off pretty easily (mine even came off unintentionally while cubing) while some takes some effort to take out. But it shouldn't be too hard of a task...

It's just that there will be excess glue on the pieces and it doesnt feel nice when you put stickers cos you can feel bumps on the pieces

I used a pocket knife, and some of the pieces were very stubborn, and i broke a corner, however, some super glue fixed it like a charm.

does that really work on the tiles? i know it works on regular stickers, but it seems like it wouldn't on tiles. (note that i don't have a mefferts 4x4x4 yet, so i can't confirm this)
