Anything? how about a non pillowed 7x7?

Hasnt this already been done?
If I can remember rite, it just wasn't suitable for speed solving.

Someone want to find the link for me please?:)

edit: here we go: http://etienne.deforas.free.fr/rubiks/7x7x7/img_36.jpg

Oh, I thought I read on the wiki that it was impossible. Nevermind!

It's impossible if the squares are all the same size (and square, unlike the V-cube 7), the cube doesn't bend or stretch, and the middle pieces don't fall out.

I did my first gellybrain solve today, super megaminx... yay. I duno if I have the patience for the gigaminx or gigaminx crystal though. Plus, after I finished, the box that's supposed to pop up where you enter your name came up behind the puzzle. I could see it through the crack in the middle. That's so lame. Anyone know what that's about?

Well it still isn't impossible to have a 7x7 with those three traits. You woud just need to go outside the conventional realm of puzzle building. There is actually a 9x9 in existance made entirely out of dice that fits those three traits.

That problem seems to be a typical issue on macs. It could also be an issue with your brower though. Either way, its always great to see someone new to GB.

Nah, it has centers... So you are going to reduce it to Megaminx. The only difference is, that you can't move an outer edge without a middle edge going with it. That means that you can't pair up an outer edge with a middle edge, you have to pair up a middle edge with an outer edge. That's actually the only real difference.
