[Official] Takao Hashimoto's Denver Open 09 Square-1 Solves

Kind of off topic, but I have touched and USED that exact square-1. :)

I had no idea who Takao was when I used it though...

Really? Did you sell it to Takao and not know it or something?

You were at Stanford, right?

Well, I was walking towards the competition auditorium and I met this person who I'd never seen before (Takao). I asked him if he was competing, he said yes, and I asked him what he was competing in.

He says square-1 and a few others. I ask him if he's any good at square 1 and he says he's OK. Then later on, when I saw Ryan playing around with his Square-1, I asked to use Takao's and he lent it to me. I didn't have my own at the time.

LOL, I was there, If you held the camera up a bit, you could have seen me...
I might have your solve on my HardDrive... Probably don't though...

I also have one other solve from him (one of the ones you guys didn't tape...)

EDIT: OOPS, I think I have the same one as the last solve... Didn't he get something like 16?

How does he get it to cube-shape so quickly... That's what I'm really wondering...

Apparently there were some problems with the spread sheet and some nonsense trying to get a second round of OH that had to be disqualified. When they started the nonsense I took a much needed break. I wish I hadn't been so busy judging an been able to watch Mr. Hashimoto.

I'm surprised he did the first cubeshape like that. It's a really easy 5 twist shape, but it looks like he tried to do something weird, realized it wouldn't work, undid it and then did it correctly.

It looks like it was just (0,-1)/(1,0)/(-2,0)/(-1,-2)/(-3,-3)/
