Seriously… when are we getting sub-2?

Earlier this year, we saw Teodor get a 2.76, which we had been waiting for since sub-4.
But so soon after a wave of 2s solves just poured into the speedcubing scene.
Bofan’s failed wr and finally… 2.51 by Xuanyi Geng. When do you think sub 2 will be surpassed?
I think next year we'll see a sub 2. Maybe!

The next Yusheng Du will do it this Sunday, trust me

"Can I copy your homework"

Non-cubers hearing about the first sub 2:”hE SOlveD THE wuBiX qyuB iN 1 SECend!!!t”
Is it just me who finds it annoying when people refer to solves like Xuanyi's 2.51 WR as a "two second solve", or saying that he "solved a cube in two seconds"? To me, the latter implies a solve of 2.00 or faster, as if he been given his 2.51 scramble for the first time and been told that he had two seconds to solve it, HE WOULDN'T HAVE DONE IT.

I can understand the your annoyance to "solved a cube in two seconds", as in other words, that would mean he solved a cube within a 2.00 second timeframe, but I don't really see what's wrong with "two second solve"? I personally don't think it would be more accurate to say the 2.51 WR is a 3 second solve

Yeah, I guess not - I did think when I typed it that it wasn't as bad.
