I made an F2L coach for my cubing app and I need your feedback

Hi everyone. last week I posted Reddit about my free cubing app sub-x and asked for Android testers.

I added a new trainer, F2L Coach.

You paste a scramble (or press Generate), and it shows you the cross and all 4 pairs on a 3D cube step by step. And it tells you why it chose like that.

I thought this trainer might be useful for intermediate cubers who are learning F2L algs.

It is in the Android app too, under Trainers, and it works offline.

Also I still need Android testers. Google wants 12 testers before my app can go to the Play Store. Right now I have 6 opted in.

I really like this trainer, even teached me stuff i never knew. Only slight downside is there is no setting to remove the animation on the top

Thank you for trying this new trainer on sub-x! I am still adjusting alg selection and thinking of features like "what if I do this alg instead of presented".

I already see one issue without even opening the app (in this picture). Your app doesn’t seem to acknowledge keyhole/pseudo options, because it lists FR pair as being 7 moves when you can do D’ L’ U’ L D, which is also 5 moves and is also a valid option for the first pair. Great app idea, but I suggest also including keyhole and pseudoslotting options into your app.

Yes, you are right, the current F2L Coach doesn’t support keyhole or pseudo-slotting.

I think at that level you are probably beyond what the current F2L Coach is designed for

but I agree that adding keyhole and pseudo-slotting would make the tool more complete. I will add that to a future improvement list.
