This is my N-puzzle progression thread. I made this thread cuz I didn’t want to clutter up my main progression thread, and I’m also getting into N-puzzles, which is influenced by the current forming of the W2PA.

My Slidysim 8-puzzle PBs and move count
Single: 0.842 / 6
Ao5: 7.703 / 32.666

Yes, I know these times are extremely slow (for people who don’t know, beginner tier in slidysin is considered having a sub-3 ao12) but I’m doing this on an IPAD and I’m moving the tiles by setting the session to MOUSE CLICK (touchscreen works on this for some reason), and the way I move the pieces is NOT LINES, but MULTI (iirc) (because I want to match the feeling of using a physical 8 puzzle as much as possible using slidysim so that I can track my efficiency/tps, unlike real life. I will get around to doing physical 8 puzzle soon)

Also for those who’ve never used slidysim, these are only my current aoX’s. I’ll update with my actual best aoX’s later when I feel like it

I don’t really consistently do speedsliding, but on days that I do solves maybe like 50-100

It is much easier to do it virtually than on a physical puzzle right.

I procrastinate while doing on a physical puzzle.

Yes imo, I find virtual better/easier cuz:

1. Virtual is more portable
2. I don’t have to scramble manually on virtual
3. I can see my move count on virtual
4. Physical is noisy, which my family doesn’t like (I do my cubing in my bedroom with the door closed)

I will eventually switch to physical once I get more efficient and if/when I get more serious on doing speedsliding

Yeah I agree that physical 8 puzzle is noisy.
Virtual gives good solve reconstruction and analysis.
The color coding on virtual is also useful and can be customized according to our preference yo.

Also I didn’t mention earlier this cuz I didn’t check, but that 3-mover solve was my 27th solve on slidysim

Go to the website, click rankings at the top, type your username in the username box. Then go to average length sand click “all”. That way you can find all your PB’s

You can also select which puzzle sizes you want to see. If you leave the size box blank you get all your PBs
