Ok so I want to make a cubing routine because I feel like thats the only way I'll stick to it. Right now I average like 17 to 22 seconds and I'm ashamed to say this but I dont have FULL pll or oll yet but I know a little. I want to keep improving on look ahead, and full pll and oll, and efficiency. Can someone give me advise to help me achieve this, and create a routine.

Any of us could create a simple routine for you, but none of us know you better than you do. I think the only kind of routine you will end up sticking to is one you create for yourself, based on your goals / what you want to achieve. You could ask ChatGPT, but what it will give you will probably be pretty generic and not necessarily what is best for you as an individual.

Decide how many algorithms you can reasonably learn per day, and what other skills you want to practice on a daily basis. Maybe have a rotating schedule of activities, with breaks factored in. The specifics can only be decided by you, or somebody who knows you very well.

Ok yeah thanks, I think I have a few things in mind to put in there to help me. I appreciate it.

So something I saw on Caiden Lee and Luke Greisser’s chat was that they would structure a schedule to target a specific part of your solve per day. Also, you want to target your weaknesses the most. I’d say have days alternating between training Cross, Inspection, F2L solutions, lookahead, and LL/LSLL.

On watched that too but honestly I like practicing all of it a day (or maybe not all of it a day but most everyday and just do the others i didnt do the next day) but maybe just shorten them so I can still get the same amount in a week than what you said. But yeah I'm going to do like you said cross, inspection, f2l, look ahead and LL ect.

Send me a video of an ao5 if you can. I don’t have the time for detailed critiques or anything, but I can definitely put together a simple practice plan for you and provide some resources.

i could critique one of your ao5s and then give a detailed 1-month practice plan on it
I have a bunch of time lol

@LukeKing67 if you send a video, make a group DM with both of us in it, it'll be better if we make it together (also no point of giving you conflicting practice schedules)

My brother lemme teach you
So do a normal solve but stop at oll or pll you don't know and force yourself to use the oll/pll alg you dont know and keep doing it until you can do the alg alone and if you don't want then learn basic sets of algs personally i would learn all 2 step pll algs and all pll algs with headlights and 2/ 2+ blocks and E perm then for oll learn the T shapes, blocks/blocks with tail, single dots, lines and some other 2+ yellow edge algs and the corners solved ones then you could start learning the rest I think these are the basics
Edit yea some more pll algs like Na Nb are good to learn

in case you didn’t understand stand this👆message:
basically he’s saying to learn full OLL and PLL

First, lay out your goals: full oll, pll etc…
Seeing as you use cfop I would say the practice 5 different skills Monday-Friday.
First, practice cross. Watching J Perm’s 8 move cross should help. Doing solves where you only complete the cross and then rescramble the cube should help you practice cross quicker.

Second, practice f2l. Depending on what type of f2l you currently are fluent in, you should make some attempts to learn the level above;
Beginner f2l- intermediate, intermediate to advanced. Do slow solves to decrease pauses between f2l pairs.

Third, oll. Learn 1-2 algs on the third day and do alg drills to reinforce the muscle memory. Practice cases you already know so you don’t forget them.

Fourth, pll. Again learn 1-2 algs on the fourth day of the week and drill them to memorise them. TIP: try to use triggers to help you memorise the algorithms better.

Fifth, SLOW SOLVES! Slow solves help a lot with lookahead and reducing pauses. Try to double your solving time when doing them and consistently turn at a lower tps.

(Optional) Finally, do an Ao100/50 to see how much you’ve improved in the week. Only do light cubing on the seventh day to avoid burnout.
