The Orcuber's Hunt For The Best 3x3 Method

Do you think this is a good idea? Or are the methods out there good enough?

One specific question I have in mind is, the 7 beginner OLL cases, do they all have an alg set which only has RUD-M lower/wide moves, the ribbon case and the T case traditionally has F, maybe there are algs that doesn’t use it without rotations

In my free time this is what I’m doing really:

1. IB-1
2. I-F2L (realignment, bad last edge insert r’ U R’ u’ R, in F2L proper I’ve used M slice techniques that prevents rotation and F moves)
3. 2Look EOLL
4. 2Look PLL (Ja Perm, Na perm, Transitory perms without F moves -> EPLL)

You can see now, why I find it fun, it literally avoids F & B like it’s allergic to it

Random things im thinking about APB rn:

1. Why do we do EO after BR pair? I assume it’s because if you do it the other way you can get 6 unoriented edges but I’m still not sure
2. What if we did APB but you solve 223 in the back and then FL pair?

For number 2, that’s just the Nautilus shell. You’d be making a worse variant of Nautilus.

@0rcoraCuber21 you should add a members list to the top post
Okay thats a good idea. Also as of now I am working on a variente of Roux and I will tell you guys about it once I figure it out, and also when I have more time (Finals week studying and finishing work)
And @Ralph Laurence are you joining the team?

1. First, doing EO before BR pair makes it so that you have to recognize the EO of 7 edges instead of 6. This means recog will be worse, the algs will probably be a little worse, and the EO algs will increase as well, instead of just having to learn 11 with BR pair. Also, doing BR pair makes LXS shorter, which is generally better. So overall, doing EO before BR pair is just worse and not worth it.
2. I’m assuming you are talking about solving the 223 normally, which means 1x2x3 -> DFDB. Rotating to solve FL pair is just worse than doing BR because it has a rotation. Also, as CrossPetrus said, that’s basically just making a nautilus shell.

Didn’t know there’s a team here, but if that means taking part of method creation here, then sure I’ll join
