YES I LOVE MATH AND RUBIKS CUBES SO OFC I SAW THIS
In this video, a math prof explains how to calculate the number of scrambles for big cubes
I literally got an email from him while I was watching the video, apparently he got most of his cubes from my store! This guy is a real speedcuber or got his cubes from one. He's got the GAN 2x2 and 3x3s, a qiyi warrior looking 4x4 and a decent modern 6x6.
That's cool! You should sponsor him to be a cube math ambassador and give some to students or somethingI literally got an email from him while I was watching the video, apparently he got most of his cubes from my store!
Although this is true, don't forget that the target audience of that video are not just cubers, and the content can already be overwhelming if you see these things for the first time. One of the things that disappoints me about Numberphile, and I understand completely because I know they don't have an hour to go over it, is that they just assert things like 7 of the 2x2 corners determines the last one and you have to take it at face value. You can actually show this pretty easily by coming up with some corner orientation invariants, and this gives a lot more insight into why we know these numbers are right
Im not british, but i had nostalgia watching it ofcgot scared for a minute.
