The Orcuber's Hunt For The Best 3x3 Method

Do you think this is a good idea? Or are the methods out there good enough?

OK HERES MY NEW PLAN:
X-Cross -1edge: this can be done intuitively (solve front, back, and left edges)(solve back left pair)
Solve 2nd pair with EO: IDK if EO is easy, but if it is, then we can do this step (with front left pair)
Solve Last White Edge: Pretty easy if you ask me
Solve 3rd Pair: This has less cases than F2L, & can be done with R, U, and D moves. (with back right pair)
WV: I thought of using full VLS, but thanks to EO, I only need one of the cases
PLL: Self explanatory, from here the cube is solved

IDC if you dont use this, i will this method until we find a method which is actually better than this

We all saw that video, didn’t we?

I feel like the 2x2x3 block is too systematic. Lau would be better with blockbuilding. It is an interesting method though
I did see it, but it is not a good method. There is no point in algorithmically solving a 2x2x3 like that, just to do CFOP f2l. There’s also pretty bad lookahead in the I-f2l setup.

What if we solve EO and 3rd pair together instead? Solving EO and the 2nd pair would likely be a lot L and F moves, which doesn’t seem ergonomic

Also I thibk it would be faster to let the solver solve the left 2x2x3 block freely like in APB, where you are allowed to solve it freely and the preferable method is making a 1x1x3 block then extending it with the DF and DB edges

BR pair would be worse
and jared asked for x-cross, your idea for the 223 block would bring a disagreeement

I'm gonna post the method I'm developing for the method development comp in here after I submit it in there because I don't want to look like I'm cheating. But I will say that my method is a combination of APB and CFOP.

EDIT: At one point I literally made an exact copy of Petrus without realizing it 💀
