I think going from 1 man to 283k in a period of slightly over 50 years is impressive in itself.

if i did the math correctly, that means we had 15 people “join” the cubing community everyday since 50 years ago

Yes that is right but until 2003 we only had 19 competitors. So since 2003 we had on average "join" 33 people everyday
