I got the Xuanyi Geng limited edition so I get a cool box and Xuanyi's signature.
First of all, when I got it, I noticed that the box was pretty big. Not like tv3 big, but noticeably larger than most other cube boxes I've seen. Also, I love how the bottom of the box smoothly slid out from the top part when opening the box.
Starting out with the accessories, they're pretty minimal, with just a new sleek black GAN bag which I really like (the old velvet bag is terrible), an adjustment tool/center cap remover, and an instructions paper for how to adjust the cube (hope you can read Chinese). I like this because I'm not opening the accessories box just to find a bunch of crap all over the table and floor (super aolong). It also came with a cool new credit card and an extra card with Xuanyi's signature on it (I got the LE).
Now it's time for the cube. The box opens up really nicely. The cube is super smooth and fast out of the box, but somehow still controllable. Something in the cube is keeping me from overturning constantly, I don't know what. The extra edge/center magnets give the cube a stronger snap, but it doesn't overpower the turning and the cube is still able to flow between turns smoothly. The cube is nice and crisp, with a higher pitch and very subtle clacky sound, which is a nice touch imo. This cube also has an insane degree of auto-alignment.
My Setup
I lubed the cube with Gravitas, Calm, and Glide, and that slows the cube down just enough without making it overly gummy or too slow.
I unironically use center travel on 6 and tension on 7, which makes the cube 6/7, no pun intended. That gives the cube some room to flex, and the tension level takes off some friction while still keeping the cube easier to control. I still wouldn't recommend this cube if you don't like fast cubes, though.
I would rate this cube 10/10, but with the price, my final rating is 8.8/10.
