Dude if hes coaching you for free dont be a d*ck to him.
Nah bro I am good thanks for askingI will try to help also, but you are faster than me on average. Looks like you could improve your tps, there was quite a bit of pauses. And don't worry bro. I have been here also. Are you depressed? I have the hardest time getting good solves when I feel depressed. Don't answer if it is too personal. Just sayin
Just remember,if you quit cubing, then all of your time, money, and involvement was for nothing. Don't waste something valuable, bro. Look at how many people are trying to help you. They value your experience. They value you. Woah, this sounds chummy. But you get my point. Don't quit when no one quit you. Just sayin'.Nah bro I am good thanks for asking![]()
Some of these solutions are better than @Cuber2s btw.Solve 1: cross was fine, i couldn’t really see better solutions from your video so i’m not sure if there was a better solution. For the first pair, you should have just done y R’ U’ R U’ R’ U R to insert the pair into the back-right. You should avoid wide f moves during F2L 90% of the time. While you were doing first pair you should be looking for your second pair, which the most obvious one i saw was the blue-red pair. The red-blue pair also was the best option mainly because it solves both of your back-slots, which isobjectively optimal
. But back to your solution, you should have just done R U’ R’ U’ R U’ R’ U R U’ R’, which is the standard solution for that pair, which is also one move shorter than the solution you did and is more ergonomic (it’s just RU spam). Looking ahead to your third pair while doing your second pair would have prevented the panic rotation. For the last pair you should have just done U’ R’ F R F’ R U R’, which is rotationless and actually gives you a cross on top (it’s also a righty alg so more ergonomic). Also, avoid peeking to the back side of the cube. Do U moves instead (or just sit higher on your chair). The last layer could have been faster as well so i suggest using bestssiteever.ru to train PLL algs (i think they have an OLL trainer too).
Solve 2: your cross solution was ok but i think it’s better to do D R’ U L x’ D R2 D because not only does it set up your hands to be in homegrip, it also preserves the blue-red pair. But you decided to do the WORST SOLUTION POSSIBLE for the red-blue pair (no offense). The better solution is to just do L U’ L’ U L U L’ which way shorter than whatever you did. For the second pair, you missed the red-green four mover, which kinda sucks but it is what it is ig, atleast you looked ahead to the green-orange pair. Since the solution for the green-orange pair was kinda long (it was inevitable), you should have been looking ahead to your other pieces, in this case the red-green pair. Notice that the green-red corner is the only that moves a lot, while the green-red edge only moves between the UB slot and the UL slot. I’ve also told this to a lot of other members, and that is to rotate THEN solve the pair rather than to solve the pair then rotate mid solution. So the better solution for your third pair would be: L’ U2 L2 U L2 U L. For the last pair your solution was good, but your fingertricks were not so. It’s better to keep your fingers in home grip then just do a push move with your left index for the U and U’ moves. Last layer was ok.
Solve 3: idk if you planned that xcross but good job anyway. A common trend i’ve been seeing right now is that you seem to panic rotate and then do a bad F2L solution on the spot, so i strongly suggest practicing finding your pair first before doing any rotations or moves (with the exception of U moves). Now after the xcross, you had two options, solve the green-orange pair like this: R U2 R’ U R U’ R’, or do the blue-red pair like this: y R U R2 U2 R. I would recommend going with the blue-red first because it would solve both of your back slots, which if you were reading the critiques of the previous two solves you would know that solving both of your back slots is objectively optimal. Also, i think it would turn the green-orange pair into something like an R U R’ U2 R U’ R’ type of case. anyway, after you did the green-orange pair, you could have cancelled into the blue-orange pair. After that you should have also saw the red-blue pair while doing the blue-orange pair. You could have done all this if you were looking ahead, so that’s something to practice. For the red-blue pair you also should have done U’ L’ U’ L2 F’ L’ F which would avoid the dot case (don’t go inserting every pair with a sledge hammer now though as you need to be able to see whether you should do one or not). Lastly, for PLL, you also peeked to the back side which is a huge no-no for LL so i suggest you just do U moves or even better, learn 2-sided PLL recog. Also use one of these two Gc perm algs:
(head lights on the right, block in front): R2 F2 R U2 R U2 R’ F R U R’ U’ R’ F R2
(headlights on left, block in the back): R2 U’ R U’ R U R’ U R2 D’ U R U’ R’ D
Solve 4: help i’m so confusedso apparently you peeked and proceeded to do F2L without finishing cross, which you should have just solved cross first then F2L, and for the last pair, YOU DECIDED TO DO A Y2 AND SOLVE IT NORMALLY
. You could have just done U2 r U r’ U2 r U’ r’ to solve it. anyway, i’m not going to yap too much about this solve, since you made a mistake, and everybody makes mistakes. (one less solve for me to critique ig
)
Solve 5: Unfortunately, you missed this 6 move solution: U' R F2 D' R2 D2 which would have preserved the blue-orange pair. For the red-blue pair, you can just do y’ F’ R’ U’ R F which is short and fast which means it would also be easier to lookahead with. For the blue-orange pair, i have no idea why you decided to choose that solution, when you know the best solution which would be U2 R U’ R’ U R U R’ which would have left you with a three-mover anyway. And again, you panic-rotated instead of just inserting the orange-green pair with L’ U2 L. And please, just use this OLL: R U2 R’ U2 R’ F R F’.
Summary:
here’s what you need to improve from most important to least important:
Stop panic rotating. Find your pair first before rotating.
Fix your F2L solutions. The main reason why i don’t recommend cubers using intuitive F2L for an extended period of time is because they will drill those bad F2L solutions. Your F2L solutions should 8 moves or less.
Improve lookahead. Always look for your next F2L pair while solving your current one. See my “How to be Sub-10 with the CFOP Method” thread.
Fix last layer finger tricks and algorithms. CubeHead and JPerm have videos on this. I think there’s even a video where Yiheng Wang shows his fingertricks and algs for PLL
Fix cross solutions. Watch example solves from cubers faster than you or watch WR average reconstructions.
Drills and websites
Here are some drills that you should do
1. Untimed solves. Scramble your cube and go through your solution. Try to find the best solutions and use good finger tricks. Do enough of these and it will eventually reflect into your timed solves. Being observant is key.
2. Timed slow solves. During these solves you want to focus on one thing for the entire solve and be aware of it. For example, for an ao5 you can focus on your solutions, and on another ao5 you can focus on finger tricks/lookahead.
these two drills are basically your “sandboxes” where you can practice your weaknesses.

PS. I’ll check the other cross solutions on yellow later
i didn’t even actually try the scrams on an actual cube yet though lolSome of these solutions are better than @Cuber2s btw.
Alr here's what I did to save my career as a cuber: practice in ur free time as much as possible and learn better algs! This summer, I learned all of pll and I'm 10 seconds betterHonestly, I have not been improving for a while. When I do not improve, cubing becomes boring and I cannot enjoy it all. The last thing I want to do is the leavd this community, so I beg of you, please help me improve, I cannot waste time pretending I am getting better when I am not, I need to get faster. I will post averages and solves here when deemed neccessary to critique. Thank you.

bro mentioned everything except clock which is obviously better come on guysHonestly I'm bored with 3x3 too. Try a random event, like square-1, blind, megaminx, pyraminx, even FTO, curvy copter, kilominx, tower cube, the 1x1x2, anything besides the same thing over and over. Most cubers are on a plateau, I believe
