Hello guys and gals,
supakewber.com

I have chopped together some public libraries from github mixed with my own code to create this pretty awesome platform where you can practice solving with a bluetooth cube, get stats and averages of your solves etc - or enter daily, weekly and monthly tournaments with any GAN cube that has bluetooth connection. I'd like more people to join me and send me feedback on what i can improve. Also, the more people who enter the more fun it will be. So i thought id let the forum know about it here.. :)

So far it has:
Auto timer start/stop
GAN Bluetooth cube support
CFOP stage detection
Live 3D cube visualization
Tournament system with trophies
1v1 multiplayer rooms
Global leaderboards for fastest solves and Ao5/10/20
Kewber School (OLL/PLL/F2L guides)
Detailed statistics & charts
Avatars as prices for sub 60 second solves.

ive looked around a lot and "cubeast" did not do it for me, neither did the cubestation app. So i made my own.
Please check it out if you have a smart cube and please send a feedback message if there's anything you think i can improve! :D

Happy cubing!

I don't know anybody who does, I mean they're good but I prefer traditional speedcubes

I feel smart cubing is the future of WCA comps as well!
Heck yes! it's 2026! we need to evolve! haha
In my opinion, the smart cube eliminates some of the problems with penalties (+2's), because it always (and only) stops the timer when the cube is fully solved, ie that "last turn" has to be turned for the timer to stop, and it times it perfectly - minus the time it takes to grab your cube/put your hands on the timer to stop. I love the normal cubes aswell obvoiusly, i just love to geek out with the tech more! hehe

I feel Lucas Garron had a nice proposal to get bluetooth cubes in future WCA comps.

I hope the proposal is revisited and pushed forward.

If you turn a less forgiving cube, you turn more accurately on a normal cube.
Up to a point. If the cube is too stiff you might train yourself to turn the faces too hard and not have good fluidity. I agree with what Caleb said about fast cubes. Matty Hiroto Inaba actually recommended beginners to get really fast cubes because it teaches you to have a looser, more airy grip on the cube (he said that in a Cubehead video on how to turn faster). Overall, the fast cube approach is a bit better, but using a slow cube for the same purpose can work (just don’t use a Rubik’s brand, of course).

I doubt his cube turns that badly.
