Will a Sub-3 Official 3x3 Average happen?

Hello, I want to see if you guys think a sub-3 avg is possible. The thing is that I will do ask this every time a 3.x barrier is broken, so I could see how attitudes change over time.

Now that sub-3.9 is broken, I think it’s time to ask again.

It will happen Sometime in 2028 - 2031 I think

It will happen, but not too soon. I think at Xuanyi’s current rate of improvement that 3.8 and 3.7 can be broken in the next 2 years (including this year) and 3.6 could come 1-2 years after that. But then I think we’ll have a roadblock and it will take until 2035ish to get sub 3.

I think human limit for AVG is sub 2 and it will happen in 2040

I think Xuanyi is pretty much the only person who can actually do it, but it’s gonna take a pretty long time to get sub-3 (it took like 6 months to improve the WR by 0.06) so i’m guessing by 2036 we’ll have the first sub-3 WR average.

IMO I don’t think so, Yunzhi Lian also is improving fast and I don’t think Xuanyi will reign cubing for like 5 years (which’ll at minimum be how long it would take to get a sub-3 official average)

Also I think Xuanyi fluked his 3.84 average

i can guarantee you that Yunzhi will inevitably slow down once she reaches low 4 territory. The difficulty of actually getting sub-4 is insane, like only 3 people have a sub-4.5 average, which shows how hard it actually is.
