Seems like two teams now didn’t understand the rules. This could be me being crazy, but I feel like if someone doesn’t understand the rules that were very explicitly stated in multiple places, they shouldn’t get retries and should just be eliminated…

Well, I gave them the option to resubmit, and neither of them have yet, so if they don’t, I’ll just use their old times

Seems like both the teams of bldcuber314 and eeeeeeeee as well as RafaelHiroshi and THE_V01DL0RD now did not understand.

And the thing is, it’s not a “rule” that they each have to have a similar time, it’s just the ideal way to do it to get the fastest time. I also don’t want to be ruthless (because my instructions very well could’ve been confusing) so I felt like giving them a second chance (because they admitted they misunderstood)

I thought it would sum the times of the team like in a 2 man mini guilford

The top 16 competitors will move on to the second round where they will be partnered up (#1 with #16, #2 with #15, etc.) to do a 2-man mini guildford. There’s a slight twist though, each team member MUST compete in 5 events, so no one person doing it all lol. Each partner will do a timed relay of their 5 events, and the slower time between the two partners will be the result.

This seems pretty clear to me, and if people don’t read the rules, that’s on them, but ultimately it’s your comp. Just giving my input.

In a 2-man mini Guildford, both competitors are solving at the same time and so it is not the total time, rather the time it takes the competitor who is still solving after the other one finishes to finish.

However, the top 4 teams are moving on to finals, and after your time, you are ranked 5th (sry still gotta update the sheet), making you guaranteed eliminated from making it to finals.

I admit that the rules and layout of this comp are rather confusing, the first round being the sum, while the second round is the slower time. Thankfully next round is super simple, just a normal mini guildford.
