Mini Guildford Madness 2025! Competition complete!

Round 1 is now over! 11/16 people submitted, so unfortunately @CubeLite is eliminated (sorry, hope your hand gets better soon).
So, we will have 5 teams for Round 2:
1 @BVCuber13 and 10 @That0newe1rdo
2 @RafaelHiroshi and 9 @CAPTAINVALPO96
3 @Spartacus and 8 @mdcuber9
4 @BenChristman1 and 7 @eeeeeeeee
5 @bluecubing and 6 @bldcuber314

Round 2 will begin on October 27. Between now and then, figure out with your team member who will do what event. Remember that each person MUST do 5 events.

Good luck,
mdcuber9

Well, there is a change in the results, as @THE_V01DL0RD submitted, so we have new teams. Sorry for this inconvenience.

1 @BVCuber13 and 12 @CubeLite
2 @RafaelHiroshi and 11 @THE_V01DL0RD
3 @Spartacus and 10 @That0newe1rdo
4 @BenChristman1 and 9 @CAPTAINVALPO96
5 @bluecubing and 8 @mdcuber9
6 @bldcuber314 and 7 @eeeeeeeee
Bruh, its fine ig though.
(@THE_V01DL0RD pls don't submit for every event bro ik ur faster then me in most things)

its probably too late to mention but shouldn't the teams be based on time alongside how many events the user submitted in ?
cause i submitted in 7 events with a total of 9:25
but @THE_V01DL0RD submitted in 1 event with a total of 9:33
basically if they submitted in more events they are virtually guaranteed to surpass me

obviously cubelite would be an exception due to their injury.

its ur comp tho so you can do what you want to do in it, this is just something id note if i were the host.

Yeah, it’s not a great system, but I really don’t know much of a better way to do this. We’ll just see how it turns out. @BVCuber13 @CubeLite I am willing to make an exception for yall that each person does not have to do 5 events, but it is up to yall who does what so yall can get the fastest time possible. Remember that yall will each do a relay of the events and then the slower time is the result.

Also, I wouldn’t know that they would be faster unless i did some digging to see what they average, so i think this is gonna be the best way to do it.

If the suggestion is teaming based on avg, idrk if that's a good idea cuz some teams would be over powered and someteams would be just horrible.

do you really wanna go against a team with the 2 Calebs?
my suggestion was that teaming is based on the people's actual avgs rather then the result of R1.
this is because it would be more fair, since some people only did 1 event whilst others did all/most

This is a rly good point, but that would mean I’d have to get everyone’s global averages for each event, and the whole point of round 1 was to get the seeds for teams in round 2. I think this is gonna end up being pretty fair, and still top 4 teams (so 8 ppl) will move on to finals.

watch it end up being as least fair as possible lol.
Once again, your comp so its your choice how you do stuff, but i do think its a thing to note (obv ima bookmark my posts cause ik ima do a mini guilford/relay type comp eventually)

just in case ;
2x2 : Sub 6, 3x3 : Low 20s, 4x4 : Sub 1:15, 5x5 : Sub 2:40, Megaminx : 4 mins, pyra : sub 12, skewb : sub 10, squan : sub 1:30, clock : sub 25, OH : sub 50
