Idk if this fits, but I learned how to do 4BLD, and after only 1 month, I got an official 12 minutes success, 3rd place at Romanian Nationals
First attempt ever was 27 minutes and now after 1 month I can "solve" it in around 10 minutes

4BLD- PB single went from 16:35 to 2:38 in 10 months
5BLD- PB single went from 27:54 to 6:55(2:21 memo) in 8 months, plus 9:39 PB mean
MBLD- PB went from 4/5 to 23/25 in 9 months

@LightningCuber29 and I use left hand for OH and we are both left handed.

Speaking of him, he went from 2.74 2x2 average PR in March 2025 to a 1.58 average four months later

My pb oh avg at the beginning of the year was 49.44 and now it’s 33.18 (also kinda funny my pb single has stayed the same the whole time) also my second ever sub-1 was a 34.01…

In June 2023, I had a 3x3 PR average of 8.87, which I thought was pretty good for me, until I randomly improved and broke it three times in two weeks, bringing it down to 8.25, 8.24, and 7.93. I even broke it again with a 7.88 average at my next comp. Before those comps, I only had one sub 9 average lol.

It doesn't really matter if you use your dominant or non-dominant hand. The main reason that most people say to use your non-dominant hand is because a majority of people are right handed, and OH is just better to do with your left hand because mirroring algs is a pain. So just use your left hand if you're getting into OH, and consider switching to left anyway. But you can use your right hand if you want to, it shouldn't be any worse aside from the lack of righty algs and needing to mirror them.
