Clock World Championship 2025 Podium has been changed...

It was the right thing to do according to the rules I guess, but really? One month later? I feel like this could be easily dismissable at this point, especially when none of the affected competitors are truly happy with that change (I suppose that’s the case, @Volodymyr K ?).

But honestly, how do they notice that one entire month later? If they really want to follow the rules, they should check videos of competitors right then and there, so that they can provide extras or a re-do of the round, if necessary.

The literal only upside to this is that I now (technically) won my bet about worlds 2025.

However, I’ve now decided to get a sub 8 average instead, as a sign of protest.

I do not have a strong opinion on this, but I think the WRC looked at each proof closely and verified the scrambles systematically.
My problem is that Antoni is being punished for getting a HARDER scramble than the actual one. If you read the WCA forum page on this, it was said that competitors for SOME (not all) finals could check their scrambles, but it should never be their obligation to do so. It just doesn't make sense to me how mistakes (where no one is at fault) can result in someone getting a worse result. A change needs to be made, because an extra or a DNS is not the right way to handle this problem. Antoni LITERALLY lost 750$ because his scramble was ONE TICK off. ONE TICK.

If the WCA wants to become closer to being a recognized sport, then I want to know which sports would change results almost TWO MONTHS after the competition has ended, especially if conditions were SLIGHTLY UNFAIR for the punished competitor. This goes against WCA's mission statement, because conditions are not fair and equal, and certainly not fun. I wish the regulations were made with common sense and got input from competitors as well, which if I'm gonna be honest is not as apparent as it should be.

I know nothing will be done about this (and I don't know why it can't) but I hope in at least the future changes are made.

Wait what, does he have to pay back the money he got for being first?

The WCA have really screwed up hear and this is the part of Cubing I don't like antoni is the world champion of clock fair and square honestly they should really check who the scrambler was and put a full investigation before just saying never antoni is not world champion it is just bad organisation and has definitely pissed a lot of people off including me and of course definitely Antoni.
