Does RS3M 2020 spring noise ever go away through solves?

Yes I know, old cube now. It's been reliable for me except one side has a persistent light spring noise. I tried gluing the spring down and lubing the springs and washer to no avail. Can't figure out how to sand down the spring. Will it gradually go away after 100 solves or 1000?

The proper solution: lube your core with a good silicone lube (weight 3 or 5) or Lubicle Black.
Edit: didn’t see the part about you already trying to lube the springs. And honestly maglev is a good solution to spring noise.
But if you don’t want to go that route, then lubing the core is a good one.
My RS3Ms never had spring noise so it’s like every random batch. You do have to remember it’s a budget cube.

what does "lubing the core" mean? I have traxxas 50k. But I wanna avoid the lube seeping into the screwholes because that's how they loosened up before.
I've already put in an unhealthy amount of traxxas into the areas all around the spring contact points

You unscrew the entire cube, put lubricant onto the part of the screw where the spring hugs around, then put the cube back together. That’s how I do it usually.

you mean put lube onto the screw shaft? what is the purpose of that? the spring only has contact on two points which are both ends of it.

dude just take off your centercap and squirt some silicone lube under the screw. it really isn't that deep. no need to worry about contact points or any of that garbage

Spring noise comes from the spring moving on the screw, making that noise. Also from contact on the washer. Putting lube on the screw shaft and then adding the spring dampens the noise so that you can’t hear it.

You think I haven't tried that at least a few times?

If you take off the cap, you can see the noise comes from the sharp metal wire ends of the spring getting stuck on and scraping against either the screw head or washer. Those are the two ends I mentioned. The screw makes zero to minimal contact with the screw shaft, and there is nothing to get stuck on there. (I'm not a puzzle designer, just someone who has done very basic puzzle mods and has common sense for how things work)

Well for whatever reason putting lube there on the screw shaft stops spring noise. Gotta trust me here.

surprised the lube didn’t reach the contact point you were talking about. You tried putting lube on the tip of the spring right?

I tried it and it still had noise. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Yes, I've tried it multiple times. I think maybe the spring wire ends are just sharp and catch-prone.
