You know, as somebody who has had his 4x4 for more than 9 months now, you’d expect me to have a sub 1 minute single by now, even if I wouldn’t practice that often.

What you didn’t know, however, is that I’m the proud owner of the Gan 460 v1, which is actively trying to prevent me from reaching my goals in 4x4.

You don’t believe me? You think it’s actually just a skill issue? Well, you’ll be proven wrong as I have this undeniable piece of evidence of my 4x4 plotting out it’s next lock-ups against me.

I say that the 460 is just tolerable. If it costed about 12 dollars it would be an okay pick. But PLEASE get a Vin4 or MGC4.

I was scrambling 4x4 once and thought the cube was broken, but when I asked the scrambler next to me he told me that it was the GAN 460. I knew it was bad but didn't know it was that bad

If you buy an MGC go for the new versions as I heard they're better or buy some other cube like a Vin or MoYu. I have the original MGC and while the new one is probably different, the original MGC seems to pop, a lot.

As an MGC 4x4 main, yes, the MGC pops A LOT if you loosen it a bit too much. i managed to find the perfect balance of pop resistance and speed although it is a bit slow.

I always have kept mine at stock tensions. Perhaps over time it loosens itself

For some strange reason, I have had maybe 5 pops in the ≈900 solves I've done on my Vin 4x4 (the Ballcore version), but no pops in the 60 or 70 solves I've done on my Vin 5x5. I even tried to purposely pop the 5x5 but it wouldn't budge. This is very strange in my opinion, as I thought that my 5x5 would be exploding on me every couple of solves, but it's actually way better in that regard than my 4x4 from the same brand!
