Bracket+Team Style Forum Competition!

Hey guys! I'm making a competition, because I've been meaning to try and set one up but I'm lazy. Once signups are full I will create a bracket.
Events are: 2x2, 3x3, and pyraminx.
I need 8 people, so ping a friend if you think they would want to join!
Also, when you enter for an event, please put your current ao5 for that event in your entry post so I can balance bracket matches easier.

The way elimination works is by team pairing: 2 teams go head-to-head, for each event the teammate with a faster ao5 wins. The team with more wins moves on.

I need 36 people, so ping a friend if you think they would want to join!

Edit: after looking at other competitions on the forum, I have decided to decrease the competitor limit to 18, so 6 teams of 3. Events are unchanged.

Yes, the teams have 3 people, each person is assigned to a different event.

Yes, so that we don't have someone with 3x3 ao5 of 7 going against someone with an ao5 of 27.

At first i thought you meant youd put people who are fast at events with each other and then slower cubers with each other.
Also will there be a losers bracket if you know what i mean ?
And how would it work if there are 6 teams and 3 advance to finals ?

I'm stupid. I'll make 8 teams, and yes, there will be a losers bracket.

Your choice. A 4 team comp would be quite quick but there are alot of comps (e.g ik @Thomas.Caleb is hosting a comp after only 3x3 summer 2025, and im also hosting one like on June 1st).
However i think a 8 team comp would be better since theres more people to go against yk.
I say js see how many people sign up before idk like June 1st and decide from there.

3x3=24(19-28)
2x2=hit-or-miss(4-9)
