Hi everybody,

I wonder how to find out how many color patterns are there for each OLL?
I don't know if I'm being clear. For example, I only know 2 color patterns for OLL 37:

OLL_37a.png
and
OLL_37b.png

But is there more? And how do I know?
I'm sure you have the answer :)

72, here's a link to all of them
I didn't know this kind of list existed. Thank you :)

Are you trying to learn 1LLL? Good luck cuz there are 3915 cases.

I'm interested about 1LLL 37 33 and 1LLL 37 45 because it seems easy to recognize, easy algs and PLL skip.
So, any case of OLL 37 has a probability of 1/54. But I'm wondering what are the probabilities to have one of the two above.

Probability 1/3915?

It would be 2/3915

Are you sure or just guessing?
I am sure. If there are 3915 1LLL cases and you want to know the probability of getting one of those TWO (2) cases, then the probability is the ratio of successes (2) out of all trials (3915), so yes, I am sure that it is 2/3915. I don’t know why you feel the need to question me on this when this is just simple probability.

That's assuming every case is equally likely, which idk is true for 1LLL

I question this. Not all last layer cases have the same probability. For example, after doing COLL there's a 1/12 chance for a PLL skip, 1/12 chance for an H perm, 1/6 chance for a Z-perm, and 1/3 chance for each of the U perms.

My best guess for this case is 1/54*1/18*1/4*2 = 2/3888, which is 1/54 chance of that particular OLL, 1/18*1/4 chance that the permutation is the correct R-perm in the correct AUF, times two cases.

A rarer LL case is a LL skip, which has a 1/15552 probability.

Because you said "It would be" and not "it is". I thought you had a doubt, sorry :)
