Psephological/Politically Inclined Cubers

Not a lot of people in this forum would qualify as super smart, I mean consider that most people in here thought covid was a pandemic. Covid did not qualify as a pandemic, not even close. Tuberculosis kills 1,000,000 people per year and has a 20% fatality rate if you catch it. That's a pandemic. Covid has something like a 0.05% fatality rate; and the fatality rates report were false anyway because people who got into car accidents and died counted as having died from covid if they had a positive covid test, and the covid test has a 90% false positive rate anyway. People also think there is a covid vaccine. The covid shot does not qualify as a vaccine. A vaccine makes you immune to a disease and also prevents you from transmitting it. The covid shot does not make you immune to covid and does not prevent you from transmitting it, so it isn't even close to qualifying for the definition of a vaccine. Covid is a coronavirus and so is the common cold. If it were possible to make a vaccine against a coronavirus there would also be a vaccine for the common cold.

If you want to know how smart someone is, don't use IQ, use their ability to see through the lies & propaganda of covid.
1. Tuberculosis is not considered a pandemic because it is mostly in southeast Asia and Africa, COVID quickly spread to every county and during the COVID pandemic 10x more people died in a year than from tuberculosis in the same year.

2. There's no evidence that COVID death numbers were artificially inflated and the way deaths are counted made it impossible for numbers to be inflated

3. Most covid tests are over 90% accurate

4. "shots" like flu shots are also vaccines, and covid vaccines do give immunity, it just wears off over time which is why people get boosters

5. The common cold is most likely to be caused by rhinovirus which doesn't have a vaccine, however other viruses do have vaccines like Adenovirus

6. I agree that IQ is a bad measure of intelligence someone opinions are even worse

Before we get into it, some quick rules for this thread:
  1. This is intended for those with any sort of interest in psephology or political science to have discussions about such
  2. Discussions about different political talking points, e.g. COVID, are allowed, as long as they are reasonable and rational.
  3. Personal attacks will not be tolerated.
  4. Attacks on any ideology or worldview not allowed
  5. Reasonable and rational discussion ONLY
That being said,
2. There's no evidence that COVID death numbers were artificially inflated and the way deaths are counted made it impossible for numbers to be inflated
The way deaths were counted was not made clear by the CDC or any other medical organisation, leaving doctors or any medical professionals unsure if deaths WITH Covid-19 should still be counted as such. Understaffing and other problems likely led to a decrease in thorough autopsies, therefore likely pulling the death toll up over time in western countries.

Keep that down to prevent angst thanks.

I just want to clear what I was saying there, I wasn't levying a personal attack to efattah or something I was just saying that someones opinions are a bad way to gauge someones intelligence as someone can have politics I don't agree with and be very smart and someone can have opinions I agree with and be stupid and vice versa

This article is very good at explaining how COVID deaths are counted and why its unlikely death tolls are inflated:
tldr: Doctors doing autopsy's had two parts to fill out in a death certificate the first part being a direct cause and a second part being a contributing cause, CDC counts a death if COVID appears in either part, doctors would not add COVID to the second part if COVID did not accelerate the death (not part of the tldr: obviously sometimes a mistake was probably made but not as much as some people would want you to believe), and COVID deaths are likely to be under reported due to various reasons.

I'm not sure if someones blog is the best source, anyway mRNA vaccines diliver well mRNA to cells to build protiens associated with viruses so the immune system can learn to fight them, I'm probably wrong but I could see said protiens making their way into the bloodstream but I not sure where the harm from that could come from.

The harm does not necessarily come from the spike proteins, but the inhibition of the immune system and spike proteins appearing much longer than the suggested lifespan of the vaccine. This indicates that mRNA has successfully integrated with human DNA to a point where the human body can not recognise it as an external source of genetic information, which could lead to long-term harm and implications regarding genetic health, particularly with the immune issues discussed.
