At this comp, two people got 16s https://live.worldcubeassociation.org/competitions/5428/rounds/73469 It was said in the FMC Discord Server, hopefully it is true. They finished in 30 min.

Final results: Aedan and Levi got it, but Christopher and Alexei didn't get it (they both got 23).

This was Levi's paper

Aedan said he will do a recon video tonight. He told me that the splits were 2 move EO, 10 move DR (So eight moves from EO to DR), and a 6 move finish. This is crazy.

EDIT: Apparently they both found different 16's lol

Given that sebatiano’s 16 stood untied for five years, the fact that two different people tied it in the same competition, on the same scramble, and with different solutions is absolutely wild

edit: The videos say it's the same solution. Kinda nullifies my entire point tbh

Is there any controversy here, or are we good this time? (Idk much about FMC)
This is going to seem biased since I know them personally and I don't want to use the "I know them and they are kind so they must not cheat" card, but some things to consider are:

- Aedan isn't a delegate, Levi is, but there was also another delegate present at the comp, unlike Sri Lankan FMC Nationals, where it was just him.
- This is a single solve, so more luck is involved, unlike Kalindu's 6 attempts where the mean of all 6 was 20 moves.
- The solutions seem legit and are human-findable (Unlike Kalindu's solutions where DR's were long and HTR's were short).
- They both are good FMC solvers (Avg around 25 or better, idk, it's hard to find an avg for FMC since it is quite luck-based), unlike Kalindu, who *improved his mean by 14 moves in 3 months*.

Yeah, Levi told me that he had Margot (the other delegate) generate the scrambles instead of himself. Congrats again to both of them!

Wild that both of them found a different 16 move solution which is also optimal!

2 move EO is also wild yo.
