g5 timer keeps turning off

I've been dealing with this issue for around 2 weeks now, but every once in a while (2-4 hours) the timer turns off and goes back into 4-pad mode, I've replaced the batteries 2 times and still no help. Do I have to get a new timer, and if so should I switch to something else

No like I'm being serious, when I turn it on it works for a while and then turns off again and at this point it's getting annoying

Try taking it apart and see if the battery is soldered correctly to the board. If not, it’s an easy fix if you have a soldering iron

the problem with this is they all feel very diffrent from the g5, so when you go to comps you wont be used to them and you will do worse

id say g4 byt i dont have any knowlege of what timers work best as my g5 has no issues

They arent really that different so you wouldnt do worse

A similar problem happened with me as well. The G5 timers went to 4-pad mode automatically and immediately for some reason.

I use a QiYi one, and i’ve had no trouble adjusting to the G5s at comps.

yeah. i use a gan and i do perfectly fine with the g5 at comps too.
