The GAN from what I've seen is a lot scratchier and bigger (obvi, its 62mm.
True, but many top solvers like Nahm, Tymon, Ciarian, and Feliks (WR2, 3, 5, and 8 respectively) have switched to the Gan 5x5. Tymon has said it is te best 5x5 in a thumbnail of one of his videos. UV coated is $70, but the Matte version from TC is only 59, a $9 increase from the Hong. Matty has said the cube is very stable and smooth to turn, and from what I've heard, it turns kind of like the Aoshi.
but its revolutionary
I wouldn't say it is revolutionary, because the Hong and the AoChuang can definitely give good competition, but I agree that we need a thread for this. It is definitely one of the best 5x5's ever released. It is GAN, so it is expensive, but if you want the best of the best, I would recommend people to give it a try. If there is a thread about the Hong, I see no reason why we shouldn't have one for the GAN. (However, this thread is in General Discussion, so once people try it and can give their opinion on it this should be moved to puzzle reviews.)
