How long did you wait for the WCA to send your emailed prize?

[1x1 wr holder!]

Hello everyone,
I have a question for those of you who have podiumed in a competition and qualified for a gift card prize that is sent via email. At my recent competition, I podiumed 3 times, and it has been 1.5 weeks since I was notified to expect a prize in my email. Also, I am sure that the wca is able to reach me via email (I always get their forum updates). With that said, how long should I be waiting?

Thank you,
-1x1 wr holder!

It took ~2-3 Weeks for my one podium.

yes, I'm aware of this, but it's just a matter of when.

An ideal organizer should give the prizes right away.

If there is some logistics with cash prize, it should be sorted out quickly yo

interesting. if nothing comes up by this saturday, I may say something, but I will be going to another comp in nine days so I can speak to the organizers who organized the comp I went to in which I earned.

The organizer of the competition sent it to me through email.

okay, am now getting mixed messages. one organizer told me that I will get gift cards, but at my recent comp, the organizer there said that newcomer awards don't get gift cards, but then he got all unsure and stuff. i hope i haven't been waiting for something that will never arrive...

Depends on the comp. Some comps have them for newcomers and podiums and others don't.
Mine had them, but you will have to look at the sponsor tab for the comp.

Then you're good to go. Like I said, it all depends on the comp

It's about to be forty days since I was told to expect the prize in my email, so I am going to send an email today. I have a bad feeling that the organizer who told me that I would receive the prize was mistaken.

*emailed prize arrives 4 minutes later*

gotta love the timing of the universe
