Super sad. I feel bad for Tommy. Could have been 3BLD single and average WR if it weren't for the +2 on the last solve. If they didn't +2 the first solve, they would have had a sub 14 aveage too. They'll get WR soon though. I'm sure of it. They're insane at 3BLD.

"He/she" is clunkier than "they", and excludes people outside of the gender binary. The use of singular "they" in English can be traced back several centuries, it's completely grammatically acceptable.

Very sad for Tommy, though he's been insanely fast recently, I'm sure he'll get something really exceptional soon!

Gee if you really want to avoid misgendering people just look at their WCA profile and look under "gender"
Personally I will always assume gender unless the person I'm talking to says otherwise (in which case I will respect their preferences)

I don't wanna start a gender war lol. But I do feel like always saying "they" pretty much ruins the purpose of gender.
