i have decided to host a 3x3 forum competition with a format that i have never seen used. i will post a scramble, and you will have 24 hours to get as fast a time as possible and submit it to this thread. Each round, 50 percent of the contestants will be eliminated, until 1 remains. Registration begins now, and will continue until July 23rd, or until competitor limit is reached. Max of 128 competitors. Good luck all!

I signed up. Does the submitted attempt need to be recorded? Do the attempts have to be "honest" or can you look up solutions like optimal solutions or LL algorithms?
the final four must record there solves. the only rules are that you have 24 hours to solve, and you have to use an official method. if you want to, you can figure out a NISS solution and do it as fast as possible.
registered. also, when does the actual competition start?
the comp start July 24th, or the day after registration fills.

i said 24 hours in the original post, because i wanted it to be competitive, and not for the best cubers to win going away. if you practice the scramble enough, the cuber who has the fastest turn speed will automatically win. with a 24 hour time limit, it gives more efficient solvers a chance. if you did this with Tymon and Max, it would be close, because Tymon is more efficient, and Max turns very quickly. if the time limit was a week, Max would win, because he would have found a efficient solution, and could execute it at 10 turns per second. because almost no one realized the time limit was 24 hours, i will extend the time to 72 hours, which means that time submissions end at 6:30 AM UTC, on July 26th. for the future, when i say 24 hours, i mean 24 hours. i have seen many other competitions with a 24 hour time limit that had no problems, though they were on places like Reddit or Discord.
