The other day I decided to clean and re-lube my Tornado V2. Since then, it hasn't felt right. It feels more chunky and stiff, and the turning is weird. I lubed it as I normally do, with a couple drops of Mystic and a drop or two of DNM-37. I tried cleaning and re-lubing it several times, but nothing seems to make a difference.
I tend not to change any core settings, especially since the default settings on this cube seemed to work really well for me (up until now), but I'm considering seeing if that changes anything.
If I can't fix this, I might end up switching my main to the V3. Or buy another V2 /hj.
Does anyone have any advice?

If you like the things like strong magnets, buy the Pioneer version, if you just like normal magnets, then buy the flagship, I main the tornado V3 Flagship, and I am getting great solves with it

I own the Flagship version with increased magnet strength because the turning out of the box was somewhat uncontrollable. It's a good cube, and I have it as my backup, but I'm just hoping I can make the V2 work right again because up until now it was undoubtedly better.

It's personal or subjective. I like the Tornado V2 better than the V3 because it feels great. It's harder and harder to find now. You might want to consider the CH Tornado V2, the one with core magnets, if you decide to get a replacement. If you like the V2, this one is even better. I heard that the Marucube core magnets kit (available from The Cubicle) works even better than CH's version, as their magnets are stronger, but it looks like a daunting task to disemmble the V2 due to its screw design. I have seen it done in a video, just use right pliers to turn the rivet like top of the screw. 😬 I don't know if it's possible to order a finished product of this Marucube core magnet version from Taiwan (where Marucube is based). That would seem like the ultimate V2.
