Unfortunately did not do well at clock this weekend—choked bad, which I thought I’d gotten over. I did finally get a sub-5 official pyraminx average—4.63. I think I’m most happy with my 3x3 results though with a 13.62 single and a 16.91 average! Could have been a way better average too without a counting 19.

Since doing pretty well officially in 3x3, I’ve started learning more PLL (I have both R perms memorized now). Next goal at home is a sub 15 average and (hopefully) a sub 11 single soon.

I got a 100% on my genetics exam, so I’m going to buy a cube in celebration. I need some help with ideas. I’m thinking Gan M Pro 2x2 (I love the Valk but I’m interested), AoShi 6x6 (I hate 6x6 but want to try competing), or possibly the Gan enhanced Skewb (I have a standard).

The top level Gan is great. I bought the leap and it’s really nice. I think that’s what Tymon recently set a low to mid 1 second avg on

If you have any comps coming up with any of those 3 events do that one, or the event that your current main has the worst hardware on.

I hate to say this, but I think I’m possibly losing interest in clock. There has been no improvement in several months and I’m trying to focus on a wider range of events. I’ll try to practice clock more often since I frequently podium in it, but motivation has been low.

My GAN UV Enhanced Skewb was accidentally shipped to my college, and I won’t be there for a few weeks. I ordered a second one which should be here tomorrow though. I’ll try to return the other one once I pick it up, otherwise I may attempt to sell it on this site!

100% agree. I have the Wingy V2, and it just doesn’t compare to the GAN skewbs. I was interested in the discontinued AoYan (if I could find one), but from what I’ve heard the GAN is just better.
