I found a video on youtube about UV coating cubes using only a nail curing lamp and UV-activated clear nail polish, and it turned about to be only a thirty minute process. I've bought all the materials and tried to coat my main, and it worked out perfectly. What should I do next, and would you guys pay for me to do this?

Also, all the things I needed (just a polish bottle and a curing lamp) costed around 16 dollars US but not too big of a deal. It worked better on cubes with frosted plastic but it still works with glossy cubes
What do you mean by it worked better on frosted cubes? What are downsides of putting it on glossy cubes? I'm asking because one of my cubes is glossy.

could you send the video link? I might try It out on my non-main, if it works then maybe on my main (2x2 since my 3x3 main is uv coated lmfao)

Actually, using nail polish to turn a matte cube into a UV-like surface is an interesting idea, but I’d recommend trying a nail buffer block instead — it often gives better and more natural results.

Those multi-sided nail buffers (usually with 3–4 sides, from coarse to fine) work great:

1.Start with the coarsest side to remove the matte texture,
2.Gradually polish with the finer sides,
3.And finish with the shining side for a smooth, glossy finish.

The result can be very close to an official UV coating — smooth, shiny, and even — without the risk of streaks, uneven layers, or dust sticking, which are common issues with nail polish.

I’ve used this method on GAN matte pieces before, and the finish ended up smoother and more durable than expected. Definitely worth a try!

I tried it but it failed, and my sister got mad at me for using so much nail polish lol
