Is it a good idea to do solves the day before a competition? I have a competition tomorrow, so this would help if you have an answer. Jperm says he doesn't do any cubing at all the day before a competition because if you do well practicing the day before the competition it is really hard to get good times two days in a row. (1. Practice day 2. Comp day). I hope this makes sense.
-Thanks!

I know pro athletes don’t train a day before a competition, and they get paid a lot, so I assume that that is a good idea.

At my last compition they day before I did 50 solves of everything but my main event, 3x3. I then did super well at 3x3 so it worked out. I also did not that many times solves before 3x3 so I would be at my peak speed when competing. I got a 16.48 average when my goal was sub 18.5 :)

What comp are you going to? I’m going to one tomorrow too.
