I average 20 to 23 seconds i use cfop, i normally do not plan the whole cross. I use advanced f2l. I knownafew olls but i dont focus on learning algs and i know full pll. I use the wrm 2021 as my main.

I am not sub 20, but I have heard that planning the whole cross and learning Advanced F2L + Look Ahead will make you faster.

I am trying to learn look ahead. Also is advaced f2l just a more advance version or is it a set of algs?
I wouldn't recommend using lookahead now. I would first recommend you to learn how to fully plan your cross (which is mainly just practice, although there are a few tutorials on Youtube), then, learn advanced F2L. It is not a set of algs, it is mainly just optimizing beginner F2L to skip a lot of steps and save moves. it is still intuitive, and will take a bit of practice to get used to.

I do know it or use it. I just thought that that is what the algs helped with. Really dum thought.
Don't worry, its not dumb, I also wanted to learn algs when I was around 20 seconds. The main issue with algs though is that you can do F2L algs from a lot of different angles, and imo instead of learning algs learning it intuitively is the way you should do it. Since you know advanced f2l, I would suggest looking ahead once you are able to solve each f2l case with muscle memory

Don't go through F2L algs to learn and drill them. F2L algs are more useful if you use them to help you understand how to move the pieces rather than learning the algs themselves, if that makes any sense. They can help improve your intuition. Sometimes when I've looked at F2L algs, they've showed me new ways to manuever the cubies that I had never thought of previously. Again, don’t go through them and learn all the algs.

Thank You for explaining better. I am bad at explaining things lol

Actually, once you become Sub-15/Sub-17 you are going to need to know Full OLL, and while it might not help that much, it cuts a whole 1-2 from your solve, and that is a lot.

I average around 2 or 3 seconds for oll and thats includng when i use 2 look. But it is not that much faster when compared to when is use full oll.

I'm not saying use full OLL now, but when you are Sub-15 you need to be using full OLL because while it doesn't help you now, in the long run it is necessary.
